Prefabricated timber house at Lliçà de Vall, Barcelona. A compact and efficient house in the middle of the forest, surrounded by nature. Two storey house of 165m2, the entire structure was built in 2 weeks on account of the prefabricated construction process.
For most of the year, the house works passively because of shading, solar system and cross ventilation. The walls are built with 20cm of wood fiber thermal insulation and it works on a mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery. For the days when passive strategies are not sufficient, the house has a high-tech pellets stove that distributes hot air through ducts throughout the rooms.
